Road To Mordor
You can see why Peter Jackson chose New Zealand to shoot the Lord of The Rings movie with views like this one taken in the Aoraki National Park, Mount Cook, New Zealand. This scene conjured up images of the road to Mordor and you can just imagine Frodo and Sam picking their way through this wild terrain on their quest to reach Mordor.

The Dark Tower
This image conjures up visions of the Dark Tower from Lord of the Rings ... you almost expect Sauramon to peer over the top and stare down at you! The tower is in fact the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand .... so there is indeed a "Lord of the Rings" connection as the movie was shot in many locations in New Zealand.
