Island of Trees

Outside of Dubai there is vast area of desert and although generally barren there are sometimes little islands of vegetation and trees such as this on. These areas make a welcome shady area to rest and have a break or even camp overnight.

Deserters Live at Mac+iPod DiscoveryWeek @Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur

The Mac+iPod Discovery Week exhibition held at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur saw local band Deserters on the centre stage this afternoon.




Also seen was Iskandar Ibrahim, local wedding photographer, in action at the iPhoto booth taking photos of attendees in a special "Star Treck" Captain's chair.

I had the opportunity to present an Aperture talk at lunchtime covering a typical workflow taking RAW images from the camera, keywording, star rating, basic editing and preparation for a variety of media export such as prints, e-mails, books and slideshows. Example books printed by ecazstudios were shown.
